About

I had my first treatment from a Registered Massage Therapist at 17 years old. I was training full-time and racing on a youth sailing team and my neck was sore from repetitive movements in the boat. My father booked me in with his therapist in Ajax, Ontario. The treatment was effective, the therapist was personable and made me feel comfortable in a new and somewhat vulnerable setting, and she sent me away with a stretch to address the tightness in my neck which I still use, and now teach to my clients.

This sense of ease I felt during my first encounter with manual therapy is what inspires me most during interactions with my own clients. I strive to create a comfortable space in which clients feel calm, and can share details about their health without hesitation. I value client education very highly, and will almost always teach an exercise or self-care technique for you to go home with, in order to work towards optimal health in tandem with the hands-on treatments.

Apart from my fulfilling work as a Registered Massage Therapist, I am a sailor, a coach with 11+ years experience, and an avid runner and gym goer. I grew up in Grimsby, earned my degree in Theatre Studies at York University, and have resided in Vancouver and in Halifax. I believe setting a positive example of a healthy lifestyle is imperative as a health care provider, and as such I am dedicated to my fitness and nutrition. If ever you have health questions or goals that fall outside of my scope of practice, I can happily refer you to the appropriate resources.
